<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in that since a vibration-developing means for agitating a sample in a container is based on a cam mechanism, in conventional thermostats it is necessary to use a driving source having a large output for actuating the cam mechanism, the size of whole of the thermostat becomes very large and complex. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The thermostat is capable of obtaining the sufficient vibration even if the driving source is a small size by including a vibration-developing means consisting of the driving source and an eccentric dead weight attached to the movable part of the driving source on a base plate through an elastic member, and applying only the load for rotating the eccentric dead weight on the driving part.
