PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of accurately and easily finding a daylight factor at a particular location in an indoor environment through a lighting window if an obstacle for obstructing a light exists in an outdoor environment. SOLUTION: The first daylight factor D<SB>0</SB>is found at the particular location P0 in the indoor environment through the lighting window 1 if the obstacle 3 does not exist. Outdoor lighting sections w1-w3 zoned by a building 2 having the lighting window 1 and the obstacle 3 are considered as virtual lighting windows. The second daylight factor is found at a location Pf of the lighting window 1 through the virtual lighting windows w1-w3. A value D as a product of the first and second daylight factors divided by 100 is considered as the daylight factor at the particular location P0 in the indoor environment through the lighting window 1 if the obstacle 3 exists.
