METHOD FOR FORMING AN ISOLATING PLUG

The method can be used in oil and gas production, in particular for sealing fractures in the area around a well when removing hydraulic fracturing liquid, and also for sealing other types of fractures and cracks in the casing. In order to produce an isolating plug, a trap is arranged upstream from the location at which the plug is formed, the trap preventing a passage of fibres and enabling the forming of fibre aggregates. Liquid with fibres dispersed therein is pumped into the well, and the trap is periodically opened, liberating the fibre aggregates and ensuring that said aggregates flow freely to the location at which the plug is formed.
