PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for intercepting Wibro connection are provided to effectively block Wibro system access between a base station and a terminal with small power. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication connection blocking device includes a preamble sensing unit(11), a receiving power measuring unit(12), and a blocking signal transmitting unit(14). The preamble sensing unit senses the first preamble signal of a base station. The receiving power measuring unit measures receiving power of the sensed first preamble signal the preamble sensing unit. The blocking signal transmitting unit transmits a blocking signal based on receiving power of the measured preamble signal.
