PURPOSE: Outdoor unit assembly and a method of installing an outdoor unit are provide to select and install an outdoor unit capable of conveniently being maintained depending on the location at which the outdoor unit is located. CONSTITUTION: Outdoor unit assembly comprises a first outdoor unit(100) and a second outdoor unit(200). The first outdoor unit comprises the first valve installed on the side of a case. The second outdoor unit comprises a second valve. The second valve is installed at the location which faces the side of the first outdoor unit. Multiple outdoor units with valves which face each other are provided. An outdoor unit is selected and installed which has the shortest length from the pipe of an installed location to the valves.
