PURPOSE: A system and a method for transmitting/receiving a voice message using a mobile phone are provided to play a voice message received by the mobile phone without connecting a voice mail box, thereby checking the voice message. CONSTITUTION: Transmitting and receiving portable phones(100,300) record or store a voice. The transmitting and receiving mobile phones convert a recorded voice into a file. The transmitting and receiving mobile phones store and play a receiving voice message. A receiver(210) receives the voice message from the transmitting mobile phone. A storage unit(220) stores the received voice message. A transmitter(240) transmits the stored voice message to the transmitting mobile phone.
