<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system for sufficiently utilizing its functions. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell system 1 includes a fuel cell 10 to generate power by reacting a hydrogen gas with air, and an air pump 21 to supply air to the fuel cell 10 through an air supply route 41. The fuel cell system 1 includes a branch route 412 to branch air flowing in the air supply route 41, and with the fuel cell 10 stopped, the branch route 412 is connected to an external apparatus and the air pump 21 is driven.
