<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user with a mechanism for retrieving information on an existing store satisfying predetermined conditions in consideration of the living area of each user. <P>SOLUTION: The existing store retrieval server is configured to extract information on an existing store within a predetermined range on the basis of one or more locations on a route connecting two spots specified by a user. (1) When receiving a request to transmit a retrieval page from a terminal 20, a server 10 reads condition information corresponding to condition ID received with the transmission request for the retrieval page from a condition DB 14, and generates the retrieval page, and transmits it to a terminal 20. (2) The terminal 20 detects a specific event in the retrieval page received from the server 10, and executes processing (retrieval request) corresponding to the detected event. (3) The server 10 executes retrieval processing corresponding to the retrieval request received from the terminal 20, and generates update data on the basis of the retrieval result, and transmits it to the terminal 20.
