PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-house book management system keeping only the required number of books that truly need to be purchased in response to requests to purchase books, while reducing wasteful double purchases within a company, and allowing effective use of an existing collection of books.
SOLUTION: The in-house book management system includes a budget database for recording budget information for each department in a company and a book information master database for recording the identification information and the evaluation information of each book collected in the company. When receiving information about a book desired to be purchased, a management server refers to the budget database and determines whether or not the purchase of the book desired to be purchased exceeds the budget limit of the department in which the person desiring to purchase the book belongs; if the purchase of the book is determined not to exceed the budget limit, the book information master database is referred to and a search is conducted to see whether or not there is a collected book having the same identification information as the received identification information of the book desired to be purchased; if there is no collected book having the same identification information, a determination is made as to whether or not the purchase of the book desired to be purchased is possible, and this determination result is sent to a user terminal.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
