<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a front cover with improved operability and a belt unit easily taken out. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus (color printer 1) includes: a plurality of photoreceptor drums on which a developer image is carried; the belt unit 6 which has a belt 61 facing the photoreceptor drums; a supply unit (paper feeding unit 3) which is arranged to overlap the belt unit 6 when seen from a front-and-rear direction, and supplies a recording sheet to the belt unit 6; and the front cover 12 which is provided on a side opposite to the belt unit 6 across the supply unit.
