PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel bar joining device providing stable joining performance with high quality without specially managing fastening torque. SOLUTION: The steel bar joining device includes a joining hardware 2 formed with through-holes 3 through which two steel bars P penetrate in a parallel state with a clearance G; first and second through-holes 4, 5 formed penetrating the joining hardware in the direction orthogonal to the penetrating direction of the steel bars toward the clearance between the steel bars; a nut 6 provided at the joining hardware to coincide with the through-holes; a joining fastening body 8 mounted to the joining hardware through the through-holes, with one end formed with a bolt 9 fastened to the nut and with the other end formed with a wedge 10 pulled into a clearance between the steel bars by the fastening action of the bolt and nut to restrict the steel bars between itself and the joining hardware; and a torque input part 11 formed at a part other than the wedge of the joining fastening body and broken by a set fastening torque.
