<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a postprocessing device having a liftable paper ejecting tray capable of storing large capacity of paper at a high speed, without causing corner folding in the uppermost paper of a stapled paper bundle. <P>SOLUTION: This postprocessing device can prevent the occurrence of the paper corner folding in the uppermost paper of the stapled paper bundle, by controlling driving of a paper ejecting troller so as to reversely rotate the paper ejecting roller for a predetermined period after a rear end part of the paper bundle passes through a position of the paper ejecting roller.
