<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element having high light emission efficiency, a low drive voltage, and superior durability. <P>SOLUTION: There is disclosed the organic electroluminescent element for which an organic compound layer that contains at least a light-emitting layer, a first electron transport layer, and a second electron transport layer provided in contact with the cathode-side interface of the first electron transport layer is sandwiched between a pair of electrodes; the light-emitting layer contains at least a light-emitting material represented by general formula (1) and a hole transportable host material; and the second electron transport layer contains an electron-transportable material represented by general formula (ET) and at least one type selected from a group comprised of an alkali metal, an alkali metal salt, an alkali earth metal, and an alkali earth metal salt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
