PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a print speed when a color image is printed. SOLUTION: A host device analyses CMYK bit map image data 10 by a band unit to determine whether band images shown by image bands 10A to 10C are black mono-color band images. If the image band is the black mono-color image as the image band 10B is, the band 10B is divided into comb teeth-like image bands 20D to 20F of a vertical resolution of 120 dpi corresponding to the minimum value of a nozzle vertical density of the first printhead, and the information including which nozzle of the black head line is used is attached to each of the comb teeth-like mono-color image bands 20D to 20F and sent to a printer. The host device forms the black mono-color band image by using all of the Bk nozzles by a command or by making the printer analyze each individual mono color comb teeth-like image band.
