PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector for suppressing reduction in luminance of an image by reducing loss due to reflection on a light incident surface of a cover part, while protecting a projection optical system by the cover part. SOLUTION: The projector 1 includes: a projection part which projects projection light toward a screen 10, a housing 2 which stores the projection part therein, and an aperture 2a formed for emitting the projection light to the outside; and the cover part 4 which is provided at the aperture and transmits the projection light. The cover part has nearly constant thickness, and has a center part 4a and a peripheral part 4b adjacent to the center part. The peripheral part is bent to an incident side of the projection light in order to reduce the reflectance of the projection light on the incident surface of the cover part.
