<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a particle accelerator capable of preventing shutdown and malfunction of a low-power waveform generator caused by radiation and attaining a stable action at low cost. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the particle accelerator having a power supply device 2 having the low-power waveform generator 4 and an amplifier 3 for amplifying a low power output of the low-power waveform generator 4, and an acceleration cave 1 for accelerating charged particles by the output of the amplifier 3, wherein the low-power waveform generator 4 is controlled by a computer 8 so as to accelerate the charged particles in the acceleration cave 1, the acceleration cave 1 and the amplifier 3 are arranged in a radiation management zone, and the low-power waveform generator 4 having the computer 8 is arranged outside the radiation management zone.
