<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jointing member for friction materials, which can provide a friction material with generation of a fade phenomenon restrained in the initial stage of use and without the need of a surface baking step, and to provide a method for efficiently manufacturing the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The jointing member for a friction material is made of a thermosetting resin including a hollow polysiloxane particle. The method for manufacturing a jointing member for friction materials includes obtaining a hollow polysiloxane particle-containing thermosetting resin by dispersing a hollow polysiloxane particle in a vessel in manufacturing a thermosetting resin. The method for manufacturing the jointing member for friction materials comprises steps of: adding and dispersing a hollow polysiloxane particle in an organic solvent solution including a thermosetting resin; and evaporating the organic solvent.
