<p>PURPOSE: A device and a method for changing auto focus area in a digital image processing device are provided to change the size of an AF area and move the AF area location. CONSTITUTION: An AF region position changing unit(51) moves random AF area among constant size of an AF area to random location. An AF region size changing unit(53) moves upper, lower, left and right points of random AF area among AF area of constant size. The AF area size changing unit changes the size of the AF area. A determining unit determines whether an AF area which the location or the size is changed is suitable for AF performing. If the AF area is suitable for AF performing, an AF performing control unit(57) set AF performing by the changed location or changed sixe of the AF area.</p> |
