Class 52(4) An upholstered panel for a perambulator, chair &c. or a back rest consists of a board 1 covered on each face with a layer of plastic upholstery material 2, a layer of padding 3 being inserted on one face and the two layers of plastic material being joined at the edges by heat sealing. The panel is secured in a perambulator by lodging its lower edge behind the edge of bottom board 5 and nailing the plastic to frame member 6, the upper edge being masked by ornamental webbing 7. In a back rest, Fig. 7, a sheet 11 of fibre board is covered on both faces with a sheet of plastic 12, the inner face having two layers between which a layer of padding 13 is confined by heat sealing, and the board is slipped into a slot 17 in a three-sided frame 16 of tubular metal. |
