Disclosed is a low-temperature-actuated denitration device for a large diesel main engine of a ship, which comprises a simple and low-cost regenerative mechanism for a low-temperature-actuated denitration catalyst that can regenerate catalyst performance reduced due to the generation of acidic ammonium sulfate. The device has denitration catalysts that are provided in the exhaust passages of the diesel main engine in a parallel arrangement and are exposed/shielded individually by a plurality of opening/closing valves, and has a denitration catalyst regeneration mechanism that is configured so as to operate when the exhaust temperature is lower than a given temperature, said device being characterized in that when regenerating the denitration catalysts the valves are opened so as to allow the exhaust from a diesel engine for power generation, which is provided separately from the diesel main engine and which has a temperature that surpasses the given temperature of the denitration catalysts, to pass through the denitration catalysts, thereby raising the temperature of the denitration catalysts. |
