The fan (3) has multiple subunits (3a, 3b), where each subunit includes oscillating diaphragms (37a, 37b) that are excited by magnetic systems (38a, 38b) in actuator chambers (36a, 36b), and an air pulsation (5) generated by the oscillating diaphragms being discharged outwardly from the set of subunits. A pressure compensation unit is interconnected with each actuator chamber of each subunit. The actuator chamber is outwardly encapsulated, and the magnetic systems of each subunit are excited out of phase with each other. An independent claim is also included for a housing for receiving elements that discharge heat loss using an oscillating diaphragm fan.
