PURPOSE: A connecting member and a rotary compressor are provided to perform both a bolt function and a nut function. CONSTITUTION: A connecting member(15) comprises a head(15a), a left side(15b), a neck(15d), a male screw(15c), a female screw(15e), and an inner diameter release part. The head transfers the torque of a connector. The left side is contiguous to the head and makes contact with a corresponding member in connection. The neck is built to the opposite side of the head from the left side. The male screw has a diameter smaller than that of the neck and is connected to the neck. The female screw is formed at the inner diameters of the head or at least a part of the head or the neck coaxially to the male screw. The inner diameter release part has a diameter bigger than that of the female screw and is formed at the inner diameters of at least a part of the neck and the male screw coaxially to the male screw.
