PURPOSE: A high voltage power source device and an image forming apparatus including the same are provided to avoid a spurious frequencies by directly detecting frequencies. CONSTITUTION: A power source device comprises a piezoelectric element, a switching element driving the piezoelectric element, and an oscillator outputting a frequency signal to the switching element. A controller(40) outputs a control signal to the oscillator in order to output the frequency signal. A setting unit(41) establishes the switching on period of the switching element driven by the frequency signal. The setting unit establishes a first switching on period shorter than a second switching on period. The first switching-on period ranges from the primary frequency of the driving initial state of the piezoelectric element to the spurious resonant frequencies. The second switching-ON period ranges from the driving frequency which outputs the target voltage through the piezoelectric element to the point when driving the piezoelectric element.
