PURPOSE: A controlling system for transmitting data in real time and a method thereof are provided to control data size so that data may be transmitted without delay. CONSTITUTION: An encoding unit(140) encodes a received image signal based on encoding parameters, and a communication unit(150) transmits the encoded image signal to an external device through a communication network. A control unit(190) confirms the communication environment of a communication network. The control unit controls first and/or second control operations to adjust the data size of the encoded image signal in real time according to the confirmed communication environment.
