PURPOSE: A surface coating agent of bricks for a coke oven is provided to prevent the precipitation of tar or pitch on the surface of a brick for improving the lifetime of the brick, and to eliminate a removal process of carbon. CONSTITUTION: A surface coating agent of bricks for a coke oven contains 60~70wt% of petalite, 20~30wt% of low melting point oxide anhydride sodium borate, and 5~10wt% of sodium silicate. The petalite includes 78wt% of SiO_2, 17wt% of Al_2O_3, and 4~5wt% of Li_2O. The low melting point oxide anhydride sodium borate contains 70wt% of B_2O_3. The particle size of the surface coating agent is under 45 microns. |
