METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTING ERROR BASED POLICY IN PROCESS CONTROL NETWORK

PURPOSE: A method and a system for detecting error based policy in a process control network are provided to effectively treat communication barrier generated in a process control network. CONSTITUTION: A packet storage unit stores packets as a file form including packet payload. A transport layer error diagnostic module(112) diagnoses error signs under a transport layer by performing a real time packet header analysis. An application layer error diagnosis module(120) diagnoses the error signs of the application layer by comparing pre-defined policy information with the packet. An error information storage(140) stores error diagnostic information diagnosed by the transport layer error diagnostic module and the application layer error diagnosis module.
