METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR VISUALIZING DIGITAL ELEVATION MODEL

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for visualizing a digital elevation model are provided to enhance the image quality for rendering by adopting a geographic curve. CONSTITUTION: Data which are divided by a grid including at least 4 elevation points(500,520,490) are inputted. The difference between first and second elevations for each grid is calculated. A triangle strip is generated from the divided triangle, and the first elevation difference is the difference between two elevation points existing in a diagonal line.
