The vehicle has a saddle riding type seat (5) for permitting a motorcyclist to sit down, and an article storage boot (60) placed under the saddle riding type seat, where the casing is closed or opened by the seat. An oscillating type power unit (21) is placed under the boot, and a fuel tank (50) is placed against the power unit. A battery (8) is placed against the boot and above the fuel tank. The battery is arranged between the seat and a fuel pump (57). A battery housing casing (70) is projected toward the front from a front end of the boot.
