METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SIMULATING VIDEO OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for simulating video of a liquid crystal display device are provided to independently correct a test image according to the characteristics of an output panel. CONSTITUTION: Voltage to transmittance and viewing angle to transmittance are provided according to a liquid crystal driving mode by using optical simulation(S2). The provided optical simulation results are converted into a lookup table for the viewing angle and the applied voltage(S4). Gamma and brightness are set depending a liquid driving mode through data matching(S6). A user-desirable test image is simulated through a user interface screen(S8). According to the characteristics of an output panel, color calibration of the test image data is performed(S10).
