PURPOSE: A nonvolatile memory device and a method for recording the number of counts of program operation drive are provided to improve the reliability by recording the number of counts of program operation of a memory cell. CONSTITUTION: A page buffer(110) comprises a latch. The latch stores a value which is changed according to the fact that program data of a memory cell is transferred. The page buffer drives the program operation of the memory cell. A record part(120) records the drive frequency of the page buffer. The record part includes a nonvolatile memory cell. A controller controls the operation of the record part.
