<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording system and a receiver, which can record video images to be viewed when a viewer desires, even when the video images cannot be recorded in a recording apparatus on the side of the viewer. <P>SOLUTION: The recording system includes: a CS transmitter 12, etc. which perform modulation conversion of video signals to be retransmitted to a cable television network; a video recorder 14 which retransmits the video signals recorded in a disk 17 on the side of a carrier to the cable television network; and a STB 30, wherein the STB 30 has a STB disk 32 capable of recording the video signals, records the video signals in the STB disk 32 when a required amount of a storage medium required for recording of the video signals is equal to or less than a free space of the STB disk 32, transmits an instruction for recording the video signals in the disk 17 on the carrier side to the video recorder 14 when the required amount exceeds the free space of the STB disk 32, and the video recorder 14 records the video signals to be retransmitted from the CS transmitter 12, etc. by the instruction in the disk 17 on the carrier side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
