<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently utilize a power to be supplied to a motor when torque phase compensation control using the motor is executed during the shift of a shift section in a power transmission device for a vehicle equipped with an electric differential section and a shift section. <P>SOLUTION: Torque phase compensation control is performed by using a motor whose motor output P<SB>M</SB>(necessary power P<SB>M</SB>*) necessary for generating necessary torque ΔT<SB>IN</SB>necessary for torque phase compensation control is smaller between a first motor M1 and a second motor M2 by a torque compensation means 88. Thus, the torque phase compensation control whose power efficiency is more satisfactory is selected when generating the necessary torque ΔT<SB>IN</SB>in torque phase compensation control by using either the first motor M1 or the second motor M2.
