PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hyper-branched polymer, an electrode for fuel cells and electrolyte membrane including the polymer, and a fuel cell employing the electrode and the membrane.

SOLUTION: The hyper-branched polymer includes a dendritic unit, a linear unit, and a terminal unit, and has a degree of branching of 0.05 to 1. The electrode and electrolyte membrane for fuel cells include the hyper-branched polymer. The fuel cell includes the electrode and the electrolyte membrane.
