PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a running wire rope having a structure causing comparatively less elongation. SOLUTION: A running wire rope 1 is constituted by twisting eight strands 3 around a resin core 2. By causing plastic deformation of the resin core 2 in the twisting step, a part of the resin of the resin core 2 is filled in spaces between the strands 3.
