PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heald which can surely and easily warp, can smoothly, upward or downward move adjacent warps to simply form a shed, can warp fine fibers in a high density, and can easily massively be produced at a relatively low cost. SOLUTION: A plurality of semi-cylindrical units 2 having a substantially reverse U-shaped terminal surfaces are provided. The reverse U-shaped terminal surfaces of the adjacent units 2 are connected to each other to form a heald body 1. A plurality of slits 4 passing though a ceiling portion are formed in the wall portion of the units 2. One slit is extended from the front side depth X of the ceiling portion to the back side depth Y of the ceiling portion. In the state that the adjacent slits are extended from the back side depth X of the ceiling portion 3 to the front side depth Y of the ceiling portion 3, the slits are disposed in a comb tooth state in which the depths are upward and downward formed. Support tools 5 enabling to use the units 2 in a state that the ceiling portion 3 is forward or backward inclined are fixed to both the end portions of the heald body 1 connected to the units 2, on the frame.
