PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a place, such as, a fire place or an evacuation route to be properly illuminated, when there is an abnormality. SOLUTION: A disaster preventive monitoring system detects abnormalities, such as, fire by means of an analog fire detector/sensor 14 connected to a transmission wire 12 led out of a receiver 10 and then issues an alarm. The analog fire detector and sensor 14 includes illumination equipment 48, which illuminates part or all of the monitoring area, and an illumination determination control section 52 which drives the illumination equipment 48; the receiver 10 includes a remote illumination control section 40; and when fire is detected and alarmed is issued, the remote illumination control section transmits an illumination-drive signal to the analog fire detector/sensor 14, which has detected the fire to turn on the illumination equipment 48.
