PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having improved durability. SOLUTION: The tire 2 includes a tread 4, a wing 6, a sidewall 8, a clinch part 10, a bead 12, a carcass 14, a supporting layer 16, a belt 18, a band 20, an inner liner 22, and a chafer 24. The sidewall 8 is formed by cross-linking a rubber composition. The rubber composition contains a base material rubber, and coal pitch based carbon fibers dispersed in the base material rubber. The amount of the coal pitch based carbon fibers is 1-60 pts.mass relative to 100 pts.mass of the base material rubber. The thermal conductivity of the sidewall 8 is 0.4 W/m K or greater. The sidewall 8 and the clinch part 10 each have dimples 62. Air flows into the dimples to produce a turbulent flow. The turbulent flow releases the heat of the tire 2 to the atmosphere.
