PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer apparatus reducing burdens on a person when the person transfers while facilitating the transfer. SOLUTION: The transfer apparatus 10 includes: a movable cart 1; an arm 2 one end of which is rotatably connected to the cart 1; and a holder 3 attached to the other end of the arm 2 to hold the person in such a way as to embrace the person. The holder 3 includes an upper half-body holding part 34 for holding the upper half body of the person, and a seat part 35 detachably connected to the upper half-body holding part 34 for the person to be seated.
