<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device eliminating air containing moisture discharged from recording paper, more efficiently from the top of the recording paper and preventing dew condensation on a recording head and its peripheral constitution with more reliability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes a drying device 12A provided around upstream of the recording head 10 to accelerate drying of the recording paper P by jetting warm air (dry air) toward the recording paper P from a jet port 17a. The drying device 12A is configured to form a warm air current flowing toward a side end from a center part in a paper width direction on the surface of the recording paper P.
