<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field element allowing reduction of dimension accuracy of the thickness of a field magnet, and the thickness of a magnetic body contacting the field magnet in an axial direction. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The field element 1 is provided with a field portion 15 and fixing portions 20, 50. The field portion 15 has the field magnet 10 and the magnetic body 11. A surface 10a of the field magnet 10 is inclined with a cross section vertical to a rotating shaft P. The fixing portions 20, 50 have a pair of surfaces sandwiching the field portion 15 in the axial direction. The pair of surfaces are coupled in a direction horizontal to the rotating shaft P.
