<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual electric charge discharging circuit or the like by which a current path is cut-off after finishing the discharge of a residual electric charge when the discharge of the residual electric charge in an output terminal is required in cutting off a power supply of a power supply circuit or stopping operation thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The residual electric charge discharge circuit 2 discharges the residual electric charge in the output terminal 4 of the power supply circuit 1 and includes a discharge circuit 20 and a discharge control circuit 22. The discharge circuit 20 discharges the residual electric charge in the output terminal 4 of the power supply circuit 1. The discharge control circuit 22 controls the discharge operation of the discharge circuit 20. In other words, the discharge control circuit 22 starts the discharge of the discharge circuit 20 based on operation stop of the power supply circuit 1, and completes the discharge of the discharge circuit 20 when an output voltage of the power supply circuit 1 is detected and the output voltage thereof is lowered to a predetermined value.
