<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carton storage rack, capable of easily distinguishing a shortage of cigarette cartons stored in plural carton storage spaces for each cigarette brand and refilling the shortage of the cigarette cartons. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The carton storage rack 100 stores a flat rectangular parallelepiped cigarette carton STK in a front-open box-like carton storage space KSS. The plural carton storage spaces KSS are arranged both in the vertical and the horizontal directions. However, a carton detecting unit 160 individually detects the cigarette carton STK stored in the plural carton storage spaces KSS, arranged both in the vertical and horizontal directions.
