Disclosed is a lead storage battery lattice plate provided with a frame having a rectangular outline, and vertical lattice ribs and transverse lattice ribs that form a lattice on the inside of the frame; the vertical lattice ribs and transverse lattice ribs are constituted by thick ribs which are thinner than the frame and narrow ribs which are narrower and thinner than the thick ribs; the thick ribs and thin ribs are arranged in such a way that the ribs adjacent to the thick ribs are thin ribs, so as to ensure spaces for facilitating the flow of active substance on the side of the thick ribs. The rear face side of the lattice plate can be easily filled with the active substance, thanks to the positioning of both ends in the thickness direction of the thick ribs further inside than both end faces in the thickness direction of the frame, and the positioning of the ends on one end side in the thickness direction of the thin ribs in positions offset towards that one end side in the thickness direction of the thick ribs.
