EMBEDDED SOFTWARE UPDATE METHOD FOR VEHICLE AND APPARATUS THEREOF

PURPOSE: An embedded software updating method for a vehicle and an apparatus thereof are provided to update software of electronic control device of the vehicle through WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) thereby reducing cost, manpower and time burden according to software recall of a consumer and a manufacturer. CONSTITUTION: An update control unit(150) accesses to software update server(110) through wireless network via wireless AP(Access Point) at update reservation time. The update control unit updates an existing software through the update of software for corresponding update. The update control unit downloads inspection software with the software for update. The update control unit determines normal operation of the software for update in an electronic vehicle control unit through the software for update.
