<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device capable of requesting a charge amount in response to the sum of the number of recording media used in an image formation, when forming a common image over a charge period. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 10 adopts a charge system applied with discount, even when executing printing with the printing number of the number applied with the discount or more, in a plurality of divided image forming jobs within the fixed charge period.
