<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a portion of a head from unintentionally falling and to easily replace the portion of the head. <P>SOLUTION: A drum beater 10 includes a rod 11 coupled to a predetermined rotary shaft and the head 12 capable of beating a beat surface of a drum while supported by the rod 11. The head 12 includes first and second members 21 and 22 made of different materials. The first member 21 has a pair of clamping bodies 24 and 24 which are provided to clamp the second member 22 from both sides in the axial direction of the rod 11, and each of the clamping bodies has a hole 24A at an in-plane center part. A hole 22A is formed in the second member 22.
