<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus which corrects an eccentricity as the whole platen roller without changing a mechanical constitution of the apparatus, and to provide a recording system. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The recording apparatus includes: a rotor which rotates on a rotating shaft and conveys a recording medium; a measuring means for measuring the angle of rotation of the shaft of the rotor; a driving means for rotating the rotor; a controlling means for correcting the eccentricity of the rotor with an eccentricity correcting value and controlling driving of the driving means; and a recording means for recording a recording pattern for measuring the eccentricity of the rotor on the recording medium. The eccentricity correcting value is calculated from the amounts of the eccentricity at a plurality of respective positions obtained from the recording patterns recorded at a plurality of the positions in the rotating shaft direction of the rotor recorded on the recording medium by a plurality of times of rotations of the rotor.
