<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric wave warmer, warming an object to be warmed according to the characteristics of the material. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this electric wave warmer, the object to be warmed such as a human body is held between two electrode plates, and a high-frequency current is supplied to warm the object. The electric wave warmer includes: a high-frequency signal output circuit 53; an impedance matching circuit 55; matching control means 59, 51, 56, 57, 58 for controlling the matching circuit so that the output of the matching circuit 53 becomes maximum; and an output control means 51, which controls at least one of an average output value of the output circuit and the warming time according to the control output information of the matching control means. By the above configuration, the characteristics such as the heat capacity or specific heat of the object to be heated are estimated according to the control output information of the matching control means to control the average output value or the warming time, whereby warming can be enabled according to the characteristics of the object to be warmed.
