<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image shake correcting device with less sense of incongruity, configured to reduce an influence of an erroneous signal from a gyro on photographing results, even when the erroneous signal is generated from the gyro due to the impact of a mechanical mirror and a shutter. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The current impact generation timing is predicted from at least one of a release start signal, an exposing signal, a photographing condition and the impact generation timing stored the last time, and impact removal is performed at the predicted timing. The photographing condition means types of cameras, a remaining battery amount and a shutter speed.
