<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic latent image developing carrier for providing an appropriate charge to the toner and maintaining the appropriate and stable charge providing ability over a long period as one of the particularly important characteristics required to carriers, and a two component developer using the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electrostatic latent image developing carrier is prepared by covering at least surfaces of magnetic particles with resin. The resin has a weight average molecular weight Mw as a styrene-equivalent molecular weight measured with a GPC of 10,000-100,000, a ratio (Mw/Mn) of the weight average molecular weight (Mw) and the number average molecular weight (Mn) of 1.5 or less, and a ratio of components having a 2,000 or less molecular weight in the total resin of 0.5 mass% or less.
